When we had the opportunity to develop a prestigious piece of land in Tanworth-in-Arden, we didn’t hesitate. Nestled in glorious grounds, the 3,500-foot bungalow will be a show-stopping home.
Having recently broken ground, this enormous bungalow is for sale off-plan, with the opportunity to customise much of the final specification. We expect to complete the project during April 2021.
The moment we saw the plot we fell in love with it. Quite simply breathtaking, the potential to build an incredibly special home was clear. It’s very unusual to come across opportunities in such a fine location so we wanted to create something worthy of the spot.
Our ‘super’ bungalow will sit in lavish grounds among historic oak trees and far reaching views of unspoilt countryside. Benefitting from a private gated drive, entirely separate to the main house, no expense will be spared on this unique development.
Involving Ritchie and Ritchie Architects, we knew they’d create something exciting. Having worked with them on many projects, our collaboration would work well.
Comments Ian Ritchie from Ritchie and Ritchie Architects: “We’re excited about the creative potential of the bungalow and delighted Lockley asked us to get involved. With no shortage of space, we wanted to develop something that would sit well in proximity to such an iconic old house. The courtyard layout of the new bungalow should do just this, whilst creating an incredibly comfortable home in beautiful grounds.”
More than double the size of a typical luxury bungalow, we’ll painstakingly review every last detail to deliver the highest specification. Sympathising with the historic nature of the area, the bungalow roof will be finished with hand-picked antique roof tiles. Every window will be framed by an attractive stone casement and we’ll lay fine Yorkshire stone patio slabs in the garden.
Stepping inside the bungalow should be quite an experience. A bespoke designed kitchen will sport high-end Miele appliances and Karndean flooring – not to mention an extensive adjoining pantry. There’s simply no shortage of space. An extensive master suite will be approached through double doors and include a lavish dressing area and indulgent en-suite.
The most surprising feature of the bungalow is to be a vaulted indoor hydropool. Offering a fun home fitness opportunity, the 6.5 metre by 2.5 metre pool will be fitted with a counter current system. It’s an innovative alternative to a standard indoor pool.
Tanworth-in-Arden sits in a quiet rural area, within easy reach of Solihull and Birmingham. Easily accessible to the M42, M40 and M5, road communications are excellent, whilst there are easy train services to London and many other parts of the country.
